Mexico – Exclusive areas and new dining options

RIU Hotels reopened the Riu Palace Pacifico, located on the heavenly Playa de Flamingos beach in Nayarit, Mexico. Following a complete refurbishment of all the hotel’s facilities, it is now an Adults-Only establishment and continues to offer RIU’s well-known 24-hour all-inclusive service. The renovation of this elegant hotel, which was built in 2008, comes with new services for guests to increase the number of dining options, enhance their experience and offer a new package for guests looking to take their holiday to the next level: Elite Club by RIU.

The Riu Palace Pacifico continues to be as sophisticated as ever and attention has been paid to the finest details of the hotel’s design. With the refurbishment, common areas such as the lobby and reception have become more spacious and functional. Guests can enjoy the new location of the Lobby Bar, which is found in the centre of this area and livens it up.

The hotel’s 445 rooms have also been completely renovated and now feature soft, elegant tones and naturally lit areas to create a relaxing atmosphere, all in addition to the characteristic sophistication of the Riu Palace Pacifico and the use of hardwood finishes.

One of the biggest attractions following the refurbishment is undoubtedly the introduction of the Elite Club service. Guests who take out this service will have access to exclusive areas of the hotel, such as a private area on the beach with Balinese beds and an exclusive bar serving premium drinks. They can also enjoy these drinks in the Sports Bar and the new Elite Club Lounge Bar, an exclusively reserved area where they can also check in. What’s more, there is a new dining option for these guests, who can access the Elite Club restaurant for both à la carte breakfast options and dinner in the evening.

In addition to offering exclusive areas and better drinks, the Elite Club service includes 62 rooms with privileged views and premium spirits dispensers, a minibar with snacks and bottle of wine, early check-in and guaranteed late check-out until 1 p.m., a welcome gift and aromatherapy in the room, as well as the possibility of making priority bookings in the hotel’s themed restaurants.

As for dining options, the Riu Palace Pacifico has a new Italian restaurant and a Japanese restaurant that now offers a wide range of Asian street food style dishes, in addition to the main restaurant with an international buffet, the Mexican speciality restaurant, the steakhouse that offers select cuts of meat and the fusion restaurant where guests can find incredible blends of flavours.

What’s more, there are two new snack bars in the pool area: Pepe’s Food, which offers grilled dishes, and Tiki Tako, where guests can enjoy a variety of traditional Mexican tacos. The Sports Bar has also stepped up its game with a new all-American favourites concept, expanding its range of food options with dishes such as ribs or mac and cheese.

In addition to the Sports Bar, guests at the Riu Palace Pacifico can enjoy five other bars, one of which is the Pool Bar located by one of the three swimming pools. There is also a new café to delight guests with coffees, ice cream and a wide variety of pastries.

The hotel continues to offer the best daytime and evening entertainment seven days a week, and all of RIU’s guests can attend the RIU Party events or visit the Pacha nightclub at the Riu Jalisco. The refurbished gym is still located in the Spa area, which has a room for a variety of treatments, a massage room, a jacuzzi area and a steam bath.

The refurbishment of the Riu Palace Pacifico joins the long list of renovation projects that RIU Hotels is carrying out in all the countries and destinations where it is present. In the case of Mexico, the chain has a portfolio of 22 hotels and practically all of them are new or have been refurbished in the past five years.
